Crowd Sourcing Ideas Enriches Our Solutions

The Platform Roadmap is the plan of action for how our eLearning solutions will evolve over time. Our team uses it to outline future platform functionality and when new features will be released. It provides crucial context for our team’s work and is responsive to shifts from YOU via “crowd-sourcing” ideas.

We need your help prioritizing the top ideas from our Platform Roadmap. You can add “ideas,” vote on your favorite ideas and you can spread your votes out. The ideas with the most votes at the end of prioritization get top attention from our teams, so vote wisely.

Our Platform Roadmap is our shared source of truth that outlines the vision, direction, priorities, and progress of our eLearning solutions over time. It’s a plan of action that aligns our team around short- and long-term goals for the solutions to meet our community’s requests.

Learning Management System Roadmap (2 Times / Year)

Platform Vision

Cannabis Industry’s Most Effective eLearning Platform

Our Learning Management System (LMS) is designed to have a positive effect on the cannabis industry by supporting and empowering learners who are working within different niches in the economy and in all countries.

To do this, our team looks to the industry, talks with our community leaders, and creates solutions in the forms of eLearning products that fit our values of education, openness, respect, integrity and innovation.

Our platform is built via our roadmap process and we upgrade our LMS two (2) times a year… this process is continuously evolving but it always seeks to involve all our key stakeholders – workers, supervisors and managers, industry consultants, business owners, and of course our partners and supporters.

Working on our eLearning platform involves millions of moving parts, and every release generally includes hundreds of improvements. However, we’re currently developing our Learning Management System (LMS) platform in the following areas…

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Platform Roadmap?

The Platform Roadmap is an always-on feedback platform where you help make Green CulturED better for everyone. Your ideas on our Platform Roadmap are an integral part of the release planning process that Green CulturED goes through to shape our eLearning solutions.

Post your own idea or vote for ideas from your fellow community members. You can also participate in shaping the Green CulturED eLearning solutions through Platform Roadmap prioritization.

What's up next for Platform Roadmap?

We’re currently on a multi-year journey reimagining how our community helps shape Green CulturED eLearning solutions. The first milestone is launching Platform Roadmap prioritization and next up is the enhancing the parts of our roadmap that allow you to post, vote for, and stay informed on individual ideas.

Do I need to log in to use the Platform Roadmap?

Anyone can view ideas, even without logging in. However, if you want to post, vote for, or comment on ideas, you must log in to the Platform Roadmap using your email address. To participate in Platform Roadmap prioritization, go ahead and log in using your email address so you receive notifications.

What makes a good Platform Roadmap citizen?

We love our community’s enthusiasm and passion. We want to infuse that energy into the Platform Roadmap. To ensure the environment is welcoming and collaborative, we’ve established some rules of engagement:

  • Be Respectful. Do not make any personal attacks on the Platform Roadmap. Always be courteous to other community members and Green CulturED’s team. Avoid obscene, indecent, hateful, offensive, defamatory, abusive, harassing, or profane language and materials.
  • Don’t Share Sensitive Information. Platform Roadmap is not an appropriate forum for sharing your company’s confidential information.
  • Don’t Spam. Do not post advertisements or blatant promotions of products or services.

Your use of the Platform Roadmap is governed by Green CulturED and we reserve the right to remove your comment, idea, or profile if you fail to comply.

Posting & Voting

How do I vote for an idea?

If you see an idea that you like, click the “Vote” icon to upvote it. To un-vote an idea you don’t like, click the “Vote” icon again. Although you may vote for as many ideas as you want, you may cast only one vote per idea. Once you cast your vote, you can always change it.

How do voting points work?

Points represent the popularity of an idea. Each vote is worth 1 points. Upvote an idea and you add 1 points to the score. Un-vote an idea and you subtract 1 vote from the score. If more users un-vote an idea than up-vote it, an idea will always have an updated score.

How do I post an idea?

Before you post an idea, always search to see if your idea exists. If it does, upvote the idea. If it doesn’t, click “Add a new idea.” Include a clear and descriptive title, fill in the details, and click “Share Idea” to publish it to the Platform Roadmap.

How can I get support for an idea?

If there is an idea that you think other community members would benefit from, add it and vote for it! You can build support across our “GC Engage” community, social networks and word of mouth to tell your friends, followers, and coworkers about the ideas you care about and generate votes.

What do the idea statuses mean?

Our team will update the status of an idea to communicate with you about where the idea stands. An idea can either be Open, Delivered, or Closed.

Open statuses:

  • Already Exists: The idea has already been submitted.
  • Will Not Implement: The idea is not under consideration for our short- or long-term Platform Roadmap so no further updates will be made to the idea unless future roadmap plans change.
  • Planned: The idea is actively being worked on and Green CulturED plans to deliver this idea at some point in the future. The idea is included in an upcoming cycle of prioritization, or was included in the last cycle of prioritization, to determine if it should be placed on the Platform Roadmap. If the idea doesn’t win, it will be changed back to “Planned.”
  • Shipped: The idea is in development and available for testing in the upcoming release. The idea status will be updated to “Shipped” after the idea is released.

Note: Any unreleased services or features referenced are not currently available and may not be delivered on time or at all. Customers who purchase Green CulturED should make their purchase decisions based upon features that are currently available.

Can I control my notifications?

No. But, we’re working on it! Stay tuned as we work to build this feature into the Platform Roadmap.

What is Platform Roadmap prioritization?

Prioritization integrates the community’s ideas into the Green CulturED product planning process. Our team reviews the most-upvoted ideas on the Platform Roadmap. They add the top viable ideas to the prioritization list and we then need your help to determine which ideas on the prioritization list matter the most to you. You tell us what you’d like to see developed by allocating votes to your favorite ideas. The Green CulturED team reviews ideas with the most votes and the winning ideas are scheduled for development starting in the next release.

When does Platform Roadmap prioritization happen?

Most Green CulturED products are updated four (4) times a year. Thus, Platform Roadmap prioritization also takes place typically many times a year so you have a voice in the release planning process. Check out the “Planned” tab for updates on the next open cycle.

How do ideas make it onto the prioritization list?

If a feature can be created based on an idea and the development of that feature can begin within the next release, it’s considered for the prioritization list. The list will include a maximum number of ideas possible that span multiple feature areas. This is to give you plenty of choices without overwhelming you.

What happens to top ideas that don't make it on the prioritization list?

There are instances where an idea, which was excluded from prioritization, may be included on a future prioritization list. For example, a top idea could be withheld because it has dependencies on other development work that needs to be completed first. In this case, the idea could be added to the list once the dependency is cleared. However, top ideas may not be chosen for the prioritization list for other reasons, and selection to the prioritization list is entirely at the sole discretion of Green CulturED.

How do I allocate my votes?

When a prioritization cycle is open you get a vote allowance to allocate to the ideas that matter the most to you. Allocate your allowance on one idea, or spread the votes around. Click “Vote” on the idea row to start allocating your votes. To submit your final choices, you must allocate your votes. You can only vote once and you can always change your choices after submitting.

What is the process for determining the winners?

After a cycle of prioritization closes, our team will review the final rankings and compare the top ideas with our team’s capacity and overall Platform Roadmap. After release planning, our teams confirm which winning ideas they can start developing.

How many ideas win?

The number of winners varies from round to round. At a minimum, three ideas move into the planning process where our teams consider them for Platform Roadmap development.

When can I expect to see an idea delivered?

Prioritization typically features ideas that can be delivered within one and three future releases. Green CulturED adds an estimated availability date to indicate the release in which the feature is expected to be generally available if it is deemed a winner. After release planning occurs and the winners are published, the estimated availability date may be updated.

Be honest… How would you describe your cannabis industry training?

Disorganized? Understaffed? Undertrained? Over-worked? Non-existent?

Well if you said anything other than, “A well-oiled machine,” you’ve come to the right place. Assuming you are apart of a team, it’s likely a loosely assembled group, all scrambling around completing tasks, updating workers on new regulations, running in-person training, completing compliance requirements, and doing their best to “figure it out”…without anyone necessarily knowing what anyone else is doing.
